Hello my dear Social Butterflies! 🦋✨

As I’ve already shared with some of you, my goal for 2026 is to turn the Social Butterfly Club into a non-profit organization (Verein). This means that the club will depend more than before on the active participation of its members. You’re very welcome to support us—whether financially or with your time and energy. You’ll find more details on how to do that further down.

As part of this strategic reinvention, we’ll be offering more meetups and a greater variety of formats. You can already see this shift taking shape: alongside our New in Berlin meetup, we now have a Billiard/Pool meetup—and even an Online Sewing Meetup.

Another idea I’ve been exploring is a German Language Café with older people. I’ve reached out to Freunde alter Menschen e.V., an organization dedicated to combating loneliness in old age, to see whether we could organize an event or even a small series together.Feel free to reply to this email with your thoughts if any of these ideas—or the ones below—spark your interest.

The Meadow – Social Butterfly Club 🦋 Orga Circle

The Meadow is our new weekly Orga meetup for everyone who wants to actively help shape and sustain the Social Butterfly Club.

It’s a space to exchange ideas, plan upcoming events, support each other as hosts, and get a glimpse behind the scenes of how the club grows and evolves. Think of it as a shared creative and organizational playground.

The meetup takes place on Wednesdays in one of my favorite bars in Wedding. For now, I’ve only posted one date, but the long-term idea is to make The Meadow a regular weekly format.
